On the subject of Fletchers Pond, is it carp only or is it worth fishing it for other species like Tench and bream ? Has anyone fished it for 'non-carp' recently ?

Got this from BW in reply. Nothing really for the flood gates (I assume they are shut at the moment !!) but useful one for the lock repairs in jan/feb which should reduce boat traff ... |

| To be honest the only way it wasn't going back in was if a bailiff or EA guy took the zander off me. I was only asking because some clubs have a removal policy. I can see the point if we had caught ... |

Caught a 9Ib Zander from the Horseshoe on Saturday morning (on my mates rod !), didn't know there were any in the Soar anybody else had any ? We didn't get anymore, but lost a pike later on.
