Hi,

Just thought i'd mention that last night as i arrived at the bottom end of meadow lane at our thrumpton stretch of the trent i saw a chap come out of the Notts AA gate carrying a telescopic rod rigged with a float and get into a dark coloured merc with Polish plates on it.

This guy was definitely not dressed for fishing (trousers and a shirt) and i'd put a fair amount of money on the fact that he probably had no Notts AA book or rod license.

He didn't have any fish with him that i could see, but thats not to say he didn't have any at all.

I contacted the NAA secretary and let him know what i'd seen and i get the feeling this isnt the first such occurance.

Whilst his fishing the Notts AA lakes are not an LEVAS problem its probably only a matter of time before our waters become targeted.

Be alert and get in touch with the EA or an officer of the club ASAP if you see anything dodgy going on.
