Hi,

I have it on good authority that fletchers pond used to provide some very good piking.

Are their still pike in Fletchers or have they all been removed?

Come on, somebody must know... any carpers had their spods grabbed on the way in, or any carp come out with any pike inflicted wounds?

I personally have had no reports of pike catches from Fletcher's, but regarding your other query we have never tried to remove all pike from any club stillwater. Where pike have become an intollerable nuisance by constantly attacking other hooked fish, we have on occasions had small pike removed. However, fish approaching or exceeding double figures have always been returned. I cannot recall any recent action at Fletcher's.

Do you still need a fletchers pond permit if you are fishing for pike ?

Hi,

On the subject of Fletchers Pond, is it carp only or is it worth fishing it for other species like Tench and bream ? Has anyone fished it for 'non-carp' recently ?

Thanks

To be honest, for a few quid more than the cost of a Fletchers ticket, you could get a Railway or Pride of Derby ticket and get waters holding the bream and tench you're after, plus a lot more. Much better value for money IMHO.
