Just to let you know that the Grange Pond 5 hour match record was broken on 6 November, with 64 lb 8 oz coming from peg 3. I had an excellent view of proceedings as I worked my way to 9 lb off peg 4 (I did catch a lot more fish than the winner though).
Grange is fishing quite well at present with fish showing all around the lake. Most consistent areas seem to be pegs 2 to 12, 18 to 24 (with 24 fishing very well at times), 26 to 28. Feeder, waggler and pole all working well, corn, pellet and maggot main baits but bread also working.
Please let us know what you have caught and how you did it. |

I've fished at Grange Pond twice in recent days. I've been fishing with a feeder and have had carp to 6lbs on both occasions using corn, but bites have been pretty hard to come by. Other guys around me have been float fishing on rod and pole, and they too have been struggling to get the bites going.
Fishing 15 - 20 yards or so out seems to be working better than casting out towards the island.
Anyone had any more success? What's worked? _________________ Mmmmm! The smell of maggots.... |
