hello this is not about LEVAS but was wondering if you could help??
im a experienced angler who is looking to buy a new pole i going to spend around a grand. Im upgradeing from a diawa high proforance but not the one your thinking of the old green one from about 17 years ago! But thats said i have had no problems with it and i have used it week in week out right up to last weekend! for my power work i use a maver pitbull Again i had this about 8 years old and no problems with it.
My problems satrts with the reveiws in angling press are next to useless, they always say a pole is "Light, stiff, strong and if your looking in this price bracket this is one to look at" Blar, blar, blar and the consumer is left thinking "yeah thanks, i know i can look at it but how f**king good is it?" I have never seen them once say a pole is no good and we all know they have rated poles that are no good!
Now cutting short i decided to go with the maver but then i noticed on forums people claiming they had had problems with breaking sections this scared me a little. I want to use this pole as a finesse pole because its high time i did up grade my canal pole! but i i will also be using it for some more heaver work but not bullying work.
Could i please ask you the following questens?
Maver 301
1) Has anyone got a Maver 301? and if so how strong is it? i think the 20 elestic rating is a bit OTT i would think a 12 doubled at the bottom would be all id feel safe putting in it?
Map TKS40
2) has anyone used to Map Tks40 yet? i really liked this pole its a gem for the money ive had it side by side to the maver 301 and its not far off it at all, only the finish , if anybody has fished with it, but how did it fish in the wind? and what about the joints do they stick?
Garbolino G796
3) garbolino g796 i have never had this pole up its the spares package that attacts me to it does the rest of the pole suffer because of this? and if any one has one are thay happy with it? strenth, stiffness etc etc
Im looking for advice really, reveiws of normals joes, NO SPONCERD LADS NEED POST no offence just you can be like used car sales men when you get going!
Please tell me what you would i should go for even if its not one of the above, but i will say i dont like the new diawa's so dont tell me to go for a G8 Power coz in my veiw its *****! NO offence intendated poles are so very very personal arnt they?
thanks for reading hope you can help |
