The Monday evening sweep saw another excellent turnout at Grange Pond, and the 17 competitors experienced reasonable sport all round the lake.

Paul Pykett made it two wins on the trot by taking 5 carp and a tench for a 23 lb 8 oz total.  Fishing peg 10, Paul took his fish on pellet, presented on the pole against the reeds to his left, and had be not lost another good fish that broke his pole tip would have had close to 30 lb.

Returning to form for second place was Mark Saunders (peg 21).  Mark fished method feeder into open water at 25m range for a 3 carp catch of 16 lb 12 oz, giving him a two and a half pound marging over third placed John Lowe.  John also took 3 carp, but had his on pole fished cat meat at 10m.

Martyn Boyes (peg 7) fished the feeder towards the reeds in his corner peg for 3 carp totalling 13 lb 8 oz for fourth place, just edging out John Adamson (peg 4) who's single mirror carp taken on margin fished corn (pole fished) weighed 13 lb.

Also landing a big fish was June Lowe.  June took her fish, weighing 12 lb + on cat meat down the margins on peg 22, which along with a couple of small roach gave her a 12 lb 8 oz total.
