Members should note that LEVAS rules clearly state that bivvies are not allowed on club controlled waters. The use of a bivvy is considered to be camping, and camping at club controlled venues is banned.
Night fishing on LEVAS waters (where night fishing is allowed) is restricted to members only.
Day ticket anglers must not set up before sunrise, and must leave the bank at sunset.
Anglers fishing at night (including those at Fletchers or on the River Trent) may use an umbrella, but not a bivvy. This is stipulated by the riparian owner.
Anglers are reminded that on all LEVAS waters, fishing is only allowed from marked, recognised or established pegs. Where numbered pegs are in use these must be used (e.g. on the Erewash Canal or at Grange Pond). Anglers fishing from other areas of bankside will be asked to move, may be reported to the committee, and could have action taken against them. This rule is designed to protect banks, bankside vegetation, encourage wildlife, and in some cases, to ensure anglers do not antagonise bankside residents.
Where members see these rules being broken they should bring these rules to the attention of perpetrators, as club bailiffs will take official action that could result in suspension of membership.
