Although the well attended Monday sweep at grange encountered hot weather, the sport enjoyed was not quite so hot although fish again showed from all areas of the lake, and all methods used had limited success.

Top weight of 20 lb came from peg 22, where Paul Pykett fished chopped worm close in to take four carp and several 'silvers', which put him comfortably clear of Jim Meakin (peg 20) who waggler fished shallow with pellet for a three carp catch of 16 lb.

Jim Moore (peg 28) was third with 2 carp on the method feeder for 9 lb, John Lowe fourth with a carp and a roach on cat meat from peg 4 for 5 lb 14 oz, Harry Shaw fifth (peg 11) with a single carp of 5 lb 8 oz which fell to a 'floater'.
