Grange Pond has continued to respond well to the warm weather by producing some excellent winning weights on the Monday evening matches, although in the main the pegs adjacent to the island have started to be the most consistent.

On 24 August, Dave Mayo continued his rich vein of form by taking a 7 carp haul from peg 28 on surface fished bread for yet another win.  Mark Saunders (peg 9) took second with 3 carp and a tench on the pole for 15 lb 4 oz, with Jim Meakin third (peg 27) with 3 carp on pellet fished shallow on waggler for 15 lb.

Paul Pykett (peg 7) took 3 carp for 14 lb and June Lowe (peg 23) had 2 carp for 11 lb 8 oz for fourth and fifth, both fishing worm.

On 31 July Mark Saunders drew peg 22 and took full advantage of the opportunity by taking 7 carp and 4 tench for 56 lb by fishing method feeder to the island.  This put him well clear of the opposition, Matt Colegate (peg 27) with 4 carp and a skimmer for 18 lb, John Lowe (peg 3) with 2 carp and some silvers for 17 lb caught under the bush to his left, June Lowe (peg 11) with 3 carp and a tench for 13 lb 8 oz on pole, and Dave Mayo (peg 4) with a single carp for 13 lb on surface fished bread.

the 7 August match saw two excellent weights.  Jim Meakin drew peg 23 (peg 22 not drawn) took 6 carp on the feeder fished near the island and another three from the corner on the pole for an excellent 58 lb 4 oz, while Mark Saunders (peg 13) took 8 carp and a skimmer on the method feeder to his right at 20m range to finish with 42 lb, in spite of losing several fish.

John Daykin took third with 3 feeder caught carp for 11 lb 4 oz from peg 20, qand Matt Colegate (peg 9) had 2 carp on feeder for 9 lb 12 oz for fourth.

Bevcause of success and demand, the Monday evening matches will now continue until the end of August.  Draw time remains the same (5.30pm sharp).
