22 LEVAS Members contested the eighth match of the 2006/7 Club Championship series, for the A Fletcher Memorial Trophy, held at Grange Pond on 27 August, and thankfully the weather remained dry throughout.

Jim Meakin continued his excellent form on the venue this summer with yet another win with 28 lb 4 oz of feeder caught carp from peg 27.  Time ran out too quickly for runner up Mark Saunders, who took five carp and a bream on method feeder from peg 14 in the last hour to finish with an even 20 lb for second.  

The next three weights all came to three anglers in a row all fishing the pole.  Dave Smith (peg 20) weighed in 15 lb 4 oz, Dave Cotterill (peg 22) took 14 lb, and Ivan Carrier (peg 23) had 9 lb 8 oz.
