To support the club's team in the Makins' Winter League, John Adamson has arranged 'practise matches' on Thursdays between now and Christmas at a reduced rate.  Entry and pools to these matches is £10 all in - giving a cheap day's sport at a top venue.

Any member of LEVAS is welcome to join team members at these matches, which will be fished mainly on the (sheltered) lakes of phases 2 and 3, with venues being confirmed by Tuesday of each week.

The first match was held on 12 October Little Reptile and was won with 51 lb 12 oz by John Adamson.  The second was on Crater on 19 October, won by Dave Kent with 58 lb 4 oz, with excellent backing weights. Other winning weights have been: 26 October, Lake 4, Terry Cockburn 93 lb; 2 November, Derwent, Ron Stacey 29 lb 8 oz; 9 November, Thames, Dave Kent 22 lb 8 oz; 16 November, Reptile, Lee Westwood 48 lb 2 oz; 30 November, Lake 5, Ron Stacey, 27 lb 12 oz.

The match on 7 December will be on Lizard.
