Long Eaton Victoria Angling Society's General Secretary, David Kent, recently informed the LEVAS Committee that on behalf of the Society, he had been successful in extending the lease of the Erewash Canal from Long Eaton Lock down to Trent Lock, and continuing round the River Trent and up the Cranfleet Canal, for a further 6 years.

Initial reaction from members has been very favourable that LEVAS will continue to control fishing on this high profile stretch of the canal that has been leased by LEVAS for over 100 years.
