The first Monday evening match of the new season at Grange Pond, attended by 11 members in spite of the cold and wet weather, produced a good winning weight which included a fine specimen common carp.

Fishing peg 3, one of the more consistent pegs on the lake, Karl Barker fished method feeder to take 7 carp including a splendid common of 15 lbs, to total 40 lbs for a clear win.

Runner up (peg 9) was Nigel Brailsford who fished in a similar way for a two carp catch of 11 lb 14 oz, enough to edge out Dave Mayo's 'trent feeder' caught 4 skimmers and a carp for 9 lb 8 oz from peg 22, and Mark Lowe's 4 carp catch of 9 lb 4 oz taken on method feeder from peg 7.

Matches will continue every Monday Evening throughout the summer at Grange Pond, draw in the car park at 5.30pm.
