Long Eaton Victoria Angling Society officials and committee members (plus some invited guests) fished their annual Committee Cup match on Tuesday 10 July on Trotters Lake at Holly Farm. 

For the second club match in succession, John Adamson was the clear winner, again putting a ton plus weight on the scales.   John, on peg 14, fished tight to the island with method feeder and pellet bait to catch over 40 carp for a weight of 119 lb 4 oz. 

Second weight was taken by guest Len Barker (peg 20) who pole fished paste in the margins and at 10m to take some good carp totalling 43 lb 12 oz, just enough to edge out Mick Lager (peg 16) who also took some good carp on pole fished cat meat at 13m. 

Ex Chairman Don Radmore was fourth with 38 lb 4 oz from peg 22, with guest Neil Stevenson fifth with 35 lb 8 oz from peg 36. The Pairs pool was won by John Adamson and Dave Mayo with 132 lb 6 oz, with Don Radmore and Len Barker runners up with 82 lb.
