LEVAS Championship match 9 (for the Richardson Cup) at BW Makins on Snake and Crater was reasonably well attended.  Although fishing was hard for much of the match, with most anglers having to work to gain bites, overall weights were good with very few weights under 10 ;b recorded.

Top weight, from Crater peg 8, was taken by John Adamson.  After a lean first two hours John caught carp mainly on the pole from marginswims and against the island by drip feeding corn and pellet and fishing corn, pellet and bread on the hook.  He also took 4 fish on method feeder, and finished with 60 lb 12 oz.

All the other 'frame weights' came from Snake, with Malcolm Munn leading the field with 53 lb 4 oz from Snake 15, mostly carp caught by alternating a small feeder or waggler to the boom.

Jamie Adcock took third from Snake 11 on pole fished pellet with 51 lb 8 oz, Brian Leafe fourth (Snake 2) with a pole fished corn weight of 45 lb 10 oz, Chris Waite (Snake 8) fifth with an even 43 lb.
