Long Eaton Victoria Angling Society Juniors equipped themselves admirably at the 2007 East Midlands Junior Championships which were held on 8th September, 'downstream' of Retford on the Chesterfield Canal.

The team, managed by Martin Oakes, consisted of James Pinches, Kyle Thurman, Oliver Allcock, Mitchell Hoult, Curtis Hodges and Anthony Hanstock.  The team came fifth overall (only one point off fourth place), with Mitchell Hoult coming second in his section, and every member weighing in.

 All present agreed this was an excellent performance in the team's first ever event of this nature, and at the after match presentation all the other teams, adults and organisers gave the 'Vic' team a well deserved round of applause.
