Round 12 for the Senior Club Championships (also for the Mansfield Cup) saw a good turn-out of 22 anglers gather on Oak Pool, Beechwood Fishery.  With the onset of cooler weather fishing was harder than expected and everyone had to work hard to obtain any reward.

Top weight was taken by Stef Fedyszyn from peg 20 with 37 lb 2 oz, all small carp mostly taken on paste fished 'down the track'.

Second weight fell to 'venue expert' Brian Leafe from the famous Oak peg, 24.  Brian fished pellet close to the island throughout the match for his 29 lb 14 oz all carp catch, putting him well clear of Dave Cotterill (peg 11) who fished a similar method for 21 lb 8 oz.

Ivan Carrier took fourth spot with 20 lb, with Don Radmore (fishing waggler on rod and line) taking fifth with a paste caught 18 lb 6 oz.

Although the top three in the Championship failed to make an impact on the match results, Paul Richardson increased his lead at the top and now has 209 points.  John Adamson is on 180, Dave Kent 155, with Brian Leafe (118), Malc Munn (114) and Ivan Carrier (103) making up the rest of the top 6.
