20 LEVAS members braved the very cold conditions to contest Match 16 for the  Shipstone Cup on the Oak, at Beechwood.  The strong gusty wind whistling down either side of the lake made float control very difficult for most of the anglers, and as a result most weights came from the more sheltered areas.

Topping the field was Dave Cotterill (peg 12), who caught small carp throughout the match to finish with 64 lb 8 oz, nearly as much as the rest of the field added together could muster.

 Second weight fell to Neil Stevenson (peg 14) who also landed small carp to make up his 29 lb, with Matt Colegate (peg 2) taking third spot with 14 lb taken from the margins on corn.  Dave Mayo was fourth with 12 lb 8 oz, Ivan Carrier fifth with 8 lb 8 oz.
