Match 5: W CAMM CUP, GRANGE POND (20 July 2008) | Print |

The W Camm Cup match on Grange Pond saw a return to form for the water in spite of cold and windy conditions.

Although most of the competitors decided to fish for 'silvers', John Adamson (peg 27) fished method feeder throughout for carp and tench, and successfully tempted 6 carp (to 7 lb 8 oz) and a 4 lb tench into taking his pellet and corn baits presented towards the island.  This gave him a total weight of 37 lb 9 oz for a clear win.

In contrast, Paul Richardson fed and fished hempseed, feeding little and often and alternating shallow and on the botton, for a magnificent roach catch of 18 lb 14 oz from peg 4, pushing John James (peg 12) who fished similarly for 10 lb 9 oz, into third place.

Steph Fedyszyn (peg 20) caught 8 lb 3 oz of small roach on maggot and caster for fourth, Mick Lager (peg 10) including a carp in his 7 lb 9 oz total taken on worm.
