Introduction | Print |
In 2005, the Long Eaton Victoria Angling Society (LEVAS) marked its 125 th year by opening its own web site.
Throughout that first year there were continual amendments and new submissions, then during the first quarter of 2006 the site was completely updated, and it is in the format you see today.
You may think there is a conspiracy against this site.  Our membership book for 2006 failed to mention it at all, and then in 2007 the membership book showed the wrong website address.  Congratulations if you have found your way here in spite of this.  We are confident you will find the experience worthwhile.
It is our intention that all new LEVAS related information, including news, catch and match reports, will be entered on this site promptly and on an ongoing basis, to ensure that members may keep fully up to date with all developments, changes, and any issue of interest.
Please help with this by e-mailing catch details, photographs and other information of interest to me ( )

Welcome! This web site is for you and your enjoyment.

  • Are you are just interested in coarse angling or our local angling history or news?
  • Do you wish to discuss either club or general angling issues with other anglers?
If so, there is something within our pages that will be of interest to you.

  • History of one of the oldest angling clubs in the UK (logging important milestones over the last 125 years)
  • Who does what (list of our officers and committee)
  • How and where to join us (including costs)
  • Benefits that membership can bring
  • Our Constitution and Rules
  • Our competition fixture lists (senior and junior sections)
  • Our competition rules (new and updated 2006)
  • Up to date match results.
  • Reports on our matches
  • Other clubs’ match bookings on LEVAS fisheries (you know what is not available – save the journey) plus information on catches made (when received)

  • Lots more – if you don’t see what you want, tell us and we will see what can be done!
I hope you find the contents informative and useful.

Please send me your contributions and photographs, or let me know what you think, or how we can improve, by e-mail, to
