Membership of LEVAS is open to anyone who is prepared to abide by and adhere to the Club’s Constitution and Rules, as long as they are not barred from membership for any previous indiscretion.
Membership of LEVAS entitles the holder to fish all waters controlled by LEVAS (excepting Fletchers Pond, for which membership entitles the holder to apply to the Membership Secretary for a Fletchers Pond Permit costing £25, which must be held in addition to membership for those fishing the venue).
LEVAS fisheries at Grange Pond, Fletchers Pond and Erewash Canal are open to angling all year. Fisheries on the Rivers Soar and Trent, Cranfleet Canal have a close season from 15 March to 15 June inclusively.
Membership entitles the holder to enter all or any of the angling competitions organised and run by the club, as long as these are appropriate to age, the individual informs the Match Secretary of their intention to attend, and entry fees are paid.
Members are encouraged to play an active role within the Club. They may attend the Club’s Annual General Meeting, any social function arranged by the club, would be welcome to support any working parties (for bank and peg maintenance on Club waters), and all members are entitled to act as bailiff on Club waters.
The next Annual General Meeting will be on Wednesday 18 March 2009, commencing at 7.30 pm, at the Curzon Club, Long Eaton.
Membership must be renewed annually. It runs from 1 May each year until 30 April the following year. It is not transferable.
Members may join (or rejoin) the Club at any time of the year, but their membership will expire of 30 April, after which it must be renewed. The full annual fee must be paid, even for part year membership.
New books are available from the end of April and throughout the "Club Year" from the vendors shown above.
