| The most frequently found carp found throughout Britain is know as the common carp. There are three cultivated varieties of this species, the leather, mirror and common and not forgetting to wild type. Most common carp have broad, deep bodies and brown backs. Their flanks range in color form deep brown and yellow find in most leather carp and then the golden sheen of the wild carp. Wild carp are more like a barbel. |

Tips | - Try baits such as:
- Luncheon Meat
- Maggots
- worms
- Bread
- Boillies
- Sweet Corn
- Pellets
- Carp can be found in most rivers, canals and commercial stocked ponds and lakes.
- Carp also take floating baits such as bread and dog biscuits.
- If the water is colder than 14c (57f) carp tend to feed less.
