| The perch is a predatory fish, with comouflaging to suit its life style. Its flanks are an olive-green with six or seven black strips, which is well suited for hiding amongst the weeds and reeds. The tail is rather small compared to ther fish, so its not built for speed, but more for short burst to ambush other smaller fish. |
Tips | Try baits such as:
- Worms
- Maggots
- Casters
- Small spinners and lures
Fish for perch in and around reed beds, lilly pads and weeds. Perch prefer slow moving or still waters for example canals. Perch thrive best in clear water, which is best suited for hunting.
