Pike - Esox Lucius

The pike is fast, streamlined and efficient. The pike cannot be mistaken for any other fish. Camouflage coloring, eyesight, body form and fin arrangement all contribute to the pike's success as a hunter.

  • Try baits such as:

    2. Dead Baits
    3. Lures
    4. Spinners
    5. Plugs

  • Pike can be found in any river, lake, or fen drain.
  • Typical pike waters are shallow weedy areas suitable for spawing, which also offers cover.
  • Ambush areas include sunken trees, sharp drop offs and shallow water by reeds
